Meanwhile, a professional thief named Flare battles some Science Police officers to steal a prized spacecraft and succeeds. The theft gains the attention of the Emerald Empress and she recruits Flare for the new Fatal Five. Meanwhile, Element Lad, as leader of the Legion of Super-Heroes, questions Sensor Girl about her identity because it is causing too much turmoil within the Legion.
